Apoo processes audio on your Mac. It does not save or upload audio, require an account, or include advertising or analytics.

Audio and information used on your Mac
With your macOS system-audio permission, Apoo accesses live audio from applications to adjust volume, mute and route it to an output device. Audio samples are processed in memory and are not saved as recordings or transmitted to us.
Apoo reads information about running apps, their audio processes and available audio devices to show app names, icons and outputs and manage their routes. This information is used locally and is not sent to us.
Local preferences
Apoo stores per-app volume, mute and output choices and whether sound controls have been enabled in local macOS preferences. Launch-at-login registration is managed by macOS. These settings remain until you reset or remove the local settings. Apoo does not operate a cloud service or sync these settings itself.
Your controls
Turn Sound off or quit Apoo to stop its audio processing and release its audio routes. You can revoke system-audio permission in macOS Privacy & Security, reset per-app preferences in Sound Settings and disable launch at login. A Mac system output you selected remains selected after Apoo quits. No Apoo account needs to be deleted.
Support emails
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request, investigate the issue and follow up. This is separate from app operation: Apoo does not send support messages or diagnostics automatically.
We handle support correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interest in helping users and maintaining Apoo, or to fulfil a support obligation where applicable. Support emails are handled through Google Gmail. We do not sell them or use them for advertising.
We keep correspondence while the request is open and for up to 12 months after it is resolved, to handle related follow-ups. We delete it afterwards unless a legal obligation or an ongoing dispute requires longer retention. Do not send sensitive information or audio recordings.
This website and third-party services
These pages do not include analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, contact forms or non-essential cookies. These pages are hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the pages. See the GitHub privacy statement. Hosting and email providers may process information internationally under their applicable privacy terms.
Apple manages App Store purchases, downloads and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple. These services follow Apple’s own privacy practices. Apoo does not receive payment-card details. External links and your email service are governed by their providers’ policies.
Your privacy rights
Where applicable law grants these rights, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information held in support correspondence, object to processing or request a restriction. Contact us using the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Portugal, this is the CNPD.
Trial and Apple purchases
Apple manages activation of the seven-day trial and the one-time unlock purchase. Apoo verifies Apple-signed transactions locally, including product, purchase date and revocation status, to determine access. It also stores a local time reference to prevent restarting the trial by changing the clock. We receive no payment-card details and do not send audio to Apple. Restore Purchases contacts Apple services and does not restart the trial.
Changes
We will update this page and its effective date if Apoo’s data practices change. The App Store privacy information will also be updated when required.
